Mad World原版最初是Tears for Fears在1982年时演唱的一首快歌,节奏明快,除了歌词内容,也没什么伤感的感觉.

后来由Gary Jules在2002年翻唱了原曲,改慢了,升了调子,变的悲伤而绝望。
之后]Alex Parks在2003年参赛时唱了GJ的版本,女声演绎又有了一个不同的感觉,但悲伤绝望的本色依然不改.不同的是更能让你感受到撕心裂肺的痛感，疲惫和无奈和深深的绝望.

作为bbc电视音乐大赛"fame academy"奖得主的 alex parks,其独特的嗓音，偏向伤感低沉的音乐风格也得到了不少歌迷的喜爱alex parks 带着一股不可遏抑的忧伤和些许的迷幻征服了听者的耳朵。

听着歌手的吟唱，旋律和歌词简单而有深意，低沉神秘，弥漫着忧伤。一颗年轻的心，却似唱出一段饱经风霜的世间百态。疯狂的世界，疯狂的世人...周围熟悉的面孔总是写满疲惫，没有目标没有终点得在各自的人生之路上狂奔，绕圈...
